Dear Carolyn: How do you tell someone you love that you think they might have a psychiatric issue that needs to be addressed, i.e., crippling anxiety?

Why is LW1 so dismissive of her boyfriend's anxiety? If you think he's got an anxiety problem you should want him to get treatment. If you don't think his anxiety is bad enough to merit treatment, you should say THAT. Sheesh

Mabye say "Honey, I love you, but I think you need some help for your anxiety. I'm willing to support you (emotionally) so we can move forward together."
