REVIEW: The laughs are scarce in "This Is the End," an apocalyptic comedy set at James Franco's Hollywood mansion.

The other reviews I've seen for this have been very good. Is Covert approaching it a little too high minded?

Anytime convert pans a movie it is ging to be entertaining and enjoyable...

Flat-out wrong. I saw an advance screening of this film and it was hilarious. Not sure which movie Colin saw.

I'm stunned about this review. I usually agree with Covert. This movie made my side hurt, and not from ulcers. There were a couple slow parts, but for the most part it was laughs throughout. This is a 3.5 star movie, trust me! It would have been 4 if Emma Watson had more screen time.

Not that I have to always agree with their reviews, but this is the type that really makes me dislike critics. I love Seth Rogen. I loved Superbad and I'm sure I will love this one as well. What is this guys' problem? I could not believe he not only does not like it but is strongly recommending audiences not to see it. I could not believe my eyes so I popped over to Rotten Tomatoes (who I don't always go by) and they gave it an 84%. There is no way it is as bad as he is saying. I don't care what this lame critic says. I'm seeing it and it is going to be a really good time. He needs to lighten up and learn how to enjoy himself more. I like a serious movie as much as anybody but I hope this will be as outrageous, raunchy, hilarious, and shocking as any movie I've ever seen. I'm going to be entertained and it will be awesome!

I watched this movie last evening. If this is what passes for "entertainment" in movies for the masses, leave me out. This was one of the most insipid, vanity projects I've ever seen. Lazy, crude, idiotic, self-absorbed, and not in the least entertaining. Frankly, about 20 minutes into it, I wanted them all to die. It just wasn't funny.

I saw this is the end today and completely agree with covert's review. This was one of the most self indulgent and narcissistic movies I've seen. Vile, stupid and just unfunny. Doing a funny, raunchy comedy takes skill. This was just a sloppy mess of excrement.
