Free rides offered for a week on new Cedar Avenue BRT

To entice people to try the new Cedar Avenue bus rapid transit (BRT) line, which opens June 22, transit agencies are offering free rides on the corridor and connecting routes from opening day through June 30.

Oh great, carbon burning, old fashioned, ugly, uncomfortable buses. If it would have been LRT we would have been interested. Buses... no thanks.

If its such a great thing, and in such high demand, why do they have to offer free rides to get people to try it?

I cannot believe the Red Line does not stop at Palomino Hills park and ride. Less out of the way than Cedar Grove. Red Line will suffer until this is corrected.

@subotai1 - Cedar Ave. Bridge Cannot support the weight of LRT and to construct a new bridge over that gaping span would be WAY too expensive. Last I heard they were going to be using the hybrid buses on the Red line...It is a start.
