Washington dominated the first game and rallied in the second, as injuries began to sting the Twins.

When is Gardy going to learn when you only have 4 MLB hitters on your team, you CAN'T sit two of them at a time? Also, can we switch Hicks to a RH bat only? He gives us NOTHING from the left side. Not even bunt hits or infield hits.

and this team/the Nationals are without Strausberg...wow...what pitching they have now I see why Span wanted to go there...Diamond is still a "diamond in the rough"..

After today's outing, Kyle Gibson is now 5-1 with a 2.44 ERA in his last seven starts. He's yielded but 35 hits in the 48 innings he's pitched over that span, while striking out 42 in the same span. Enough of the excuses. It's time to get this guy up here and let him learn how to anchor this staff so we has SOMEONE that can go up against guys like Zimmerman. No more excuses. The guy turns 26 in a few months, and he's done enough to warrant a spot in this rotation. Bring up and sit Pelfrey or Diamond, simple as that.

It's hard to overestimate just how lousy the Twins were this afternoon. Look at this roster: Escobar. Thomas. Hicks. Dozier. Florimon. Colabello. Carroll. Ramirez. Parmelee. The Twins have become the Minnesota T'Wolves of the AL with the sheer number of Never-Will-Bes getting at-bats.

Let's see now, 13 men left on base by the punch less offense yesterday and eight today...that is 21 LOB in two games...and very mediocre pitching...but then again, the fans gave the owners a new stadium that increased the value of their franchise so why on earth should they also be expected to field a competitive team?

How bad are the Twins...they are so bad that FSN is going to start covering Buxton's minor league team Monday at noon. Maybe they can make this switcharoo permanent. Gotta have a barf bag to watch the Twins. Gardy alone will make you sick.

I just had a post deleted because I mentioned "arbitration date" in answering caferev's post? He's right on - Gibson should be here, but not until tightwads say so

It was quite the "Murder's Row" that Gardo penciled in for the afternoon lineup. I'm really amazed with the logic that supposed athletes playing a kids game need all this time off all the time. Must be tough chasing two or three balls in a three hour game.

If any of y'all read pre-game posts: I predicted we would get 3 hits out of Gardy's AA lineup- especially against a 2.18 ERA pitcher
