Schafer: Target missing an opportunity to take the lead on Bangladesh

Target has been lying in the weeds since the late April collapse of an eight-story garment factory killed more than 1,100 workers near Bangladesh’s capital city of Dhaka.

Mr Schafer is speculating about Target's intention and actions with regard to worker safety in developing countries. It would be interesting to hear what Target is actually doing in this regard. Until we hear from them, I will reserve judgement.

So we stop buying from then and then what? My biggest complaint is how we successfully shoved the garment industry out of the US along with other and then complain about the others. Ironic?

Do you think the US and United Nations covert military intervention in eastern Africa may be about the wealthy factory owners convincing paid for elected representative that they are looking for lower paid wage earners as China and other countries workers ask for better and better working conditions and wages.
