Extremely bored with John Carlson. No impact on the Vikes. Can we move on to Kyle Roudlph please? He is a player.

Carlson is a bust and everyone knows it. He did very little in Seattle and that is why they gladly let him walk and he contributed nothing to the purple last year. Lead footed Rudolph is the real deal, Carlson should be cut and the fact that he fleeced the vikings for $5 million dollars for doing next to nothing last season is laughable.

Sid always has been, and always will be the king of excuses. Carlson was healthy enough most of the season and played like a bum. Bad signing, pure and simple.....

Carlson is a local boy so everyone wants him to succeed but it's hard to justify 5m/year for a TE that is number 3 or 4 on the depth chart...

Technically Rudolph didn't "make" the pro bowl... he was a replacement player added to the roster because Tony Gonzalez was injured and Vernon Davis was playing in the Super Bowl.

Sid; you make it sound like University of Minnesota President, Eric Kaler, has the ultimate decision on new/remodeled facilities at the campus. This is false. If he is expecting tax money from the state, there are elected officials at the capitol which must approve the allocation and use of funds. Even if he intends to raise funds himself for such improvements, the UofM Board of Regents have the last say in the matter. Kaler can only propose improvements. So you can quit pandering to Kaler and Teague. In regards to the tough Gopher football schedule; don't worry. Jerry will roll right over Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin. Just look at his success at Southern Illinois, Northern Illinois, Saginaw State, Wichita Community College...remember Sid?

Carlson was a bust and will be gone by the start of the regular season. Sid is blowing his usual hometown boy smoke.
