Big ideas: Focusing primarily on education and public safety. Wants to connect personally with parents and impose better academic benchmarks. On crime, would develop relationships with the handful of families causing a disproportate amount of violence on the North Side, and try to steer them from illlegal activity.

As much as Don may love his constituency, he did them a disservice by supporting the stadium. The short term jobs will do nothing to help his area and his voters. Seeing that he wasn't endorsed by the DFL African-American caucus pretty much says it all.

You know empty promises what this city does not need. Minnesota School of Science (Highest Academic achieving charter school in his ward to be closed by MPS) parents, staff and administration reached out to Don;e-mails, phone calls to give him a chance to offer his help, he did not even have the courtesy to return any emails or phone calls to show a little concern. I guess he is another politician not education man, or community man. He does not have my vote.
