Another right wing entertainer, more known for verbal hand grenades than legislating. His record in the legislature was pretty minimal and he was not highly thought of. Makes him a perfect candidate for the 6th.

Wonderful Bachmann replacement. After all, she did virtually nothing but self-promotion during most of her time in Congress. Mr. Emmer did nothing to improve his standing in his interview on Fox9 News tonight. Praised Ms. Bachmann for how much she "accomplished" during her tenure. Like what? The St. Croix Bridge, I guess.

It is amazing to watch the crackling spittle at the corners of the mouths of the socialists who hate this district and its representatives. It is a Republican District. GET OVER IT.

@Wally, my in-laws live in this district and likely voted for Ms. Bachmann. I don't disrespect their political opinions, they are as valid as mine. I just don't think Ms. Bachmann did much for her district or the nation, and spent most of her time promoting herself, similar to that Governor from Alaska.

Tom Emmer has actually run a business folks, paying some 20 employees. That and a law degree qualify him more than a lot of politicians who blather on about 'small business' but don't have a freaking clue regarding the regulatory nightmare they've created to stifle it.

RE:"Tom Emmer has actually run a business folks, paying some 20 employees. That and a law degree qualify him..." ------------------------- And what happened to that business? I know his law practice was tarnished by clients and partners suing him. In fact, Emmer has a history of stiffing small businesses, only to have them sue him. You could find a better candidate in a Walmart parking lot.

Go Tom! You almost won the Guv job running a clean campaign vs. Dayton's skeazy campaign financed by his ex wife (pathetic!). Minnesota has yet to see the real Tom and will be pleasantly surprised, you are a true Minnesotan!
