Wrapping up a 13 year tenure at a private school that was grossly mismanaged by administrators and board members alike for the past 10, my heart goes out to the teachers dismissed. What really frustrates me is how said incompetent administrators continue to find new life at different schools.

My first reaction is to shout "hooray" to the administrators and board for having the guts to actually evaluate their staff. While it's regrettable any time someone loses their job, the priority HAS to be meeting the educational needs of the kids first, and keeping adults employed SECOND. As the board member intimated, this road isn't an easy one for anyone. But ultimately, it may result in a better educational experience for the kids.

We have been at the school for 3 years and have been extremely unhappy this year. We are going to a different school next year. The tense environment can't be hidden from the kids, and it seems to be the administrators versus the teachers, rather than a team that will work together.
