Sid Hartman always touts the incumbent managers or coach of any MN sports team. It time to fire Gardenhire and Rick Anderson the pitching coach. Players should improve and that has not and does not happen under Gardy and Anderson. GM Terry Ryan did not go far enough in his house cleaning last Fall. Its time the team ownership start taking "ownership" for dismal teams. We built a new stadium to improve revenue so the team could maintain its competitive edge. That has worked so well. FIRE GARDY and ANDERSON NOW!

Sadly, I just don't see the Twins turning things around this year. They have shown too many flashes of ineptitude both defensively and offensively over this early season that I still find to be disheartening. Still, you never know but I certainly won't lose sleep over it.

when .500 is "turning it around" you're in trouble Sid....Parmalee isn't a major league ball player nor is Plouffe...look out guys cuz right over your shoulders lurk the future Twins and they'll have you guys gone quick

.500 ball is considered 'average'. The taxpayers didn't build the Pohlad family an 'average' stadium.

The Twins are playing teams that are worse then them, of course they appear to be turning it around. Let's get back to Cleveland, Detroit, Texas, LA, NY, Toronto and Baltimore. With the exception of KC the Twins are the worst in this division. So they won a couple of games, until they can win 20 in a row against real teams no one in this state will say they are turning it around. Oh and Byron Buxton, he will never be in a Twins uniform. He will be traded way before he sees the Mpls Skyline. Unless we see Gardy and Andy go first.

"We feel we have hitters up and down this lineup" Well, there you go. Gardenhire has lost it.

A couple more moves made to be made by sports teams in this town starting with Gardenhire. Why does this man have a job??

First off, after the ten game losing streak, we played Milwaukee who is one of the worst teams in baseball this year, and now Seattle who isn't much better. If it was Boston, Detroit or one of the better teams the losing streak would have been alot more then ten games. Are we better than last year? Maybe a little but not by much. This team will be lucky to see 500 again this year. Still to many AAA players on the team.

Time for another CAT scan Sid

One of the things I kept hearing from "Twins insiders" was that Gardenhire and Ryan were both 'shocked' over what happened last season. The only conclusion one could make about that is they allowed themselves to be totally deluded into the believing that this team could have possibly contended if they got some breaks--something that wasn't even remotely possible. When I look at the roster I see four big league hitters: Mauer, Morneau, Willingham and Doumit. I see a handy utility man in Jamey Carroll. Other than that the rest of the offense is comprised of players who have literally no track record. Gardenhire's comment about having "hitters up and down the lineup" isn't based in any kind of reality. I'm constantly disappointed by these reporters who let statements like that just hang out there without even asking a follow up question. A statement like that BEGS a follow up question! This goes back to the mindset of Ryan and Gardy being 'shocked' about the poor play of the Twins last year. The Twins badly need to clean house and replace some of the old guard because clearly they aren't capable of properly assessing this team. If you can't do that then you are nothing more than a detriment to progress and change. I think just about anyone would be an upgrade from Gardenhire at this point. I also think Ryan is long overdue to ride off into the sunset. I thought he was supposed to be 'interim GM' after he stepped in for Smith? I know they removed that tag but come on now. Let's bring in a GM who can properly assess things.
