The upcoming transit hub near Target Field is called the “interchange,” which is not a lively sobriquet for a project likely to revitalize the western edge of downtown.

Make the cheap Pohlads pay for the whole thing. Hennepin county has paid enough to make them wealthy.

No more 'sweetheart deals' for the Pohlad family from the Hennepin County taxpayers! They can get in line with other bidders/developers and pay full price for any property or assets owned or controlled by the city of Minneapolis and/or Hennepin County!

It's time to loosen Pohlad's grip on our wallets.

Yeah, the government always has money and a willingness to make the rich richer. Our politicians never, ever say no to them. Our politicians just keep giving our money away. But then when it comes to doing something to help people who need help, the politicians say there is no money. We could and should vote these politicians out, but their replacements are usually just as bad, so what's the point.

I think the Twins need to pickup the tab for this one. Yeah, right.

We can complain about the Pohlads and their billions--and you would get little disagreement from me on that argument--but the reality is that the public/private partnership here will do some real positives for Downtown Minneapolis. We have put a lot of money into our airport terminals at MSP, which have benefitted the wealthy airlines, but it also adds something of value to our area. We can be a low wage/low tax state and be a cold Mississippi or Omaha, or we can be a Denver, Seattle, or Portland.

The Pohlads must not understand the full scope of their massive failure. A brand new stadium did NOT bring to the peoples' baseball team the talent that was promised. 99, 95?, and how many losses this year (100?). The fans are not showing up. Tell the Pohlads that if they want this, they can build it themselves. Stop forcing the citizens to pay for failed and going-to-fail projects. The Scandinavian Shipwreck is going to be bad enough.

Hiawatha (now the Blue Line) and Central (Green Line) as well as future Southwest and Bottineau extensions are NOT 'Commuter Rail' as the article states. They are Light Rail or LRT. Northstar is Commuter Rail. They are vastly different technolgies with different trainsets and different operating schedules. Please get the terminology correct if you're going to be reporting on it.
