How about signing a contract with the Saints to be one of our farm teams. Can you imagine how many people would go to games right now if Rochester was in St.Paul. If they could see Sano, Buxton, Gibson, Sano, etc play. If I owned the Twins, I would put a minor league team in every big city in the midwest without a team to build a huge fan base. It would also expand their TV market once you make the Twins the team of the upper midwest. That was what Bud Selig was trying to do with his Brewers when he tried to contract the Twins. Rochester, New Brighton and even Fort Myers does nothing to expand the Twins fan base. Cedar Rapids is the only good one. Move the AAA team in Rochester New York the St Paul Saints. Actually AA would be the most interesting team to have in Saint Paul. These are the players 1-2 years from getting their major league shot.

It is so fricken annoying how many messages are not posted until they are reviewed and they are not reviewed for many hours. Why can't you be more creative in how you handle the few inappropriate messages. I say that you should post all messages and then if a few people click on the inappropriate button, it gets pulled until it is reviewed. The users would police this for you. It is just a dumb slow system that you have in my opinion.

how does Thielbar's success "prove" that the Twins & Saints can co-exist? First off, his "success" is all of 2 innnings.....long ways to go before he's a successful major leaguer. Second, even if he becomes a success in MLB, what does that have to do with the relationship between the Twins and Saints? a dn third, who cares about the allegedly relationship between the two clubs? Its like cairng about a non-existent relationship invented by phil miller between Target and a neighbor hardware store--they are in same general business but are totally unrelated.

Who cares? It's a step toward the likely: Saints as a Twins' affiliate.

It's not just the Saints. The Twins were the last major league organization to sign an independent player from any team. Remember the year the Saints outdrew the Twins head to head. I don't remember the year any more but it happened about 5 or 6 times. Actual butts in seats, not gate.

Atlanta moved its AAA affiliate to nearby Gwinnett and they sometimes cross market, plus it is easy for the MLB staff to keep an eye on prospects and facilitate call-ups. Would be cool if the Twins and Saints could work something out.
