With the new Twins Stadium capable of seating 40,000 - 50,000 for a concert, and the acoustic-friendly Xcel Energy Center and Target Center, one must wonder why all of these big touring acts are avoiding the Twin Cities. Why? Certainly, the Twin Cities have the venues to hold the concerts and the luxury hotels for the performers to stay in. So why are they avoiding the Twin Cities? Could Mark Dayton have something to do with it?

Once again there is no mention of Dave Koz, who plays at the zoo every year. He is a world renowned sax player who sells out wherever he performs. He usually has "friends" playing with him, in the past David Benoit, Jonathan Butler, Brian Culbertson and more. This year Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot and Mindi Abair, all outstanding sax players, will be with Dave. So Jon and Chris, why not broaden your music and show up for the concert on July 26th, at the Zoo, I would be interested to see your review.

Yes; we're "flyover zone" now for the Heavy Hitters. Going to Chicago for 1 Stones Show. Then to Milwaukee for McCartney on July 16. Get my "Kicks on the Road" this Summer.
