Wouldn't that be something if fiscal reality jumped in and derailed 250 million in unethical political payola? If this is the case I'd like to see the Governor line out the 250mil, and the taxing authority there redirect the funds toward loweing the overall collected. This shoulnd't have been collected in the first place if it was going to be used as a corporate subsidy. No one has that authority.

I don't mind the expansion for the MOA because I think that it does attract out of state visitors and their money, and has long term value. I do not like this political way of adding a pork project on top of it....so much waste added in to all these different bills. If the project is so great, it should pass on it's own.

Looks like just another bridge to nowhere.

Except that it's actually a bridge to somewhere. Historically, the bridge served as the only link for bike/foot traffic between the southern metro and the cities. While I won't comment on the methodology for funding it, the bridge reopening would be welcomed by many.

Time for Chairwoman Ann Lenczewski to be voted out. This is a bridge to nowhere.

Old design was beefy to support car/ truck traffic. PLEASE replace it with a simple, cheap structure designed for walkers, bikers.

so why not save the state 241,000,000.00 and just build the bridge ourselves and let the mall figure out its own expansion?

I wouldn't mind the state spending $250 million if there was a return on investment. It would be interesting to see a report on how long it would take for the additional sales tax to pay for it.
