Impeach Obama for supposed "scandals" that he had nothing to do with? The GOP already had this scripted from the day Obama was re-elected. They just had to fill in the blank with any incidents that happened over his term. Then trump them up with the backing of the RW Media, echoed by the MS Media. Everyone know these are no scandals, but the GOP will keep repeating it ad nauseum. But there is no substance behind it. Impeach the GOP!
Might as well vote to repeal the Affordable Health Act at the same time. The GOP House has nothing better to do than create scandals where none exist. You'd think they might want to work on helping the economy but they want that to fail too. These people have no business in government as their only goal is to tear down.
Not only premature, how about idiotic.
Repubs concluded that BO should be impeached before he even took office. They are still grasping for some reason to justify it. The GOP are so far into la-la land I don't see how they can make it back. Everyone on their side has made reality irrelevant. They state their conclusions first, with no evidence, then they go running around like panicked schoolchildren.
Our nation has made good progress in many areas under the current administration. One wonders just how much more could have been accomplished if the Republicans cared as much about issues as they do about impaling Obama.
atoonce, you provide the perfect snapshot of the liberal mindset: "This is all a right wing conspiracy to undermine Obama." Yep, there it is. Neatly boxed and tied up in a bow. The Obama blame-deflecting, one-size-fits-all excuse. Maybe if you separated yourself from fantasy land and tried to be objective for once, you'd be a bit more skeptical about the dialogue coming out of the White House in Obama's defense. This kneejerk lashing out at the right wing (and, of course, "evil" FOX News) just doesn't hold any water when EVERY liberal out there runs it up the flag pole. Time for some originality and a fresh angle. Then maybe you'll have more credibility in your remarks.
Do teapublicans realize you can't impeach a president just because you hate them? Do they know there has to be just cause? I just found out today that the Secret Service is investigating a conservative radio host for threatening former SoS Clinton and President Obama. Apparently he believes they didn't send in troops because they were smuggling drugs thru the consulate... or some other fringe theory. He said he wanted to assassinate the SoS because she dishonored Seal Team Six by lying about the imaginary bin Laden raid. He also said President Obama should be shot for treason. Today's Republican Party makes Dubya look smart
"Maybe if you separated yourself from fantasy land and tried to be objective for once" -- when you're debating people who believe a president should be jailed because some low-level IRS agents asked intrusive questions of a lobbying group... or claim emails falsified my republicans are legitimate pieces of evidence of a coverup that has already been investigated and determined to have not happened... it's pretty foolish to move closer to their position to appear balanced.
But some GOP leaders worry their criticism could backfire if it appears their attacks appear too politically motived. *** Appear too politically motivated to whom? The rational and all-important swing voter? Throw a lot of red meat at their party's "base" and it gets out of control. Too late to worry about that when the leaders are riding the tiger. What should concern them is their dismount.
