The best part of the game on Sunday — perhaps the series and the entire homestand — might have been the movie.

Ryan, when are you going to bring up some of the young guys? The crap you have now just isn't cutting it. Fans get sick of seeing this pathetic group trying to look like baseball players. Couldn't get any worse.

Don't worry fans, things get a little easier now. Next up are the 1st place Atlanta Braves followed by the Tigers.

Hey, Gary32, the bad news is that it actually CAN be worse: remember last year at this time? The team is playing like it has no confidence in its ability to put together an all-around game: pitchers know they won't be getting a much run-support, hitters know they will typically need more than just a few runs to win, and releivers know that most of the time the starter won't get beyond the 6th inning (if even that far).

Gardy can get some of the blame, but when they can't sign there good players then let's look at the Pholads. Making money hand over fist and the only two guys making any real money are the M&M boys. No real stopper and no real lead off guy. It seems like every time Mauer comes up no one is on base. They had Frankie Viola, Jack Morris, Johan Santana all stoppers and they wouldn't pay them. Why support them when they won't put a winning team on the field.

Hahaha....and the Twins wanted me to fork over $6400 to renew my season tix to watch this team??? What a joke. No pitching...nothing. Target Field is only too big for the home team. Visitors seem to have no issues hitting it out. Fix the scouts and upper management, THEN the on-field team will improve....until then it will be the same 'ol same 'ol.

We've started our annual drive to the cellar... Oh, WHOOPS! We're already there...

There are some fine players on this team (Mauer & Morneau, for example but Gardy can not get them going, and his pitching coach is not helping the pitchers. Gardy has had a number of years - time for NEW leadership.

Worst starting pitching in baseball. I'm amazed they're anywhere close to being .500. And yeah, that's changing very quickly.

rick563May. 19, 13 8:57 PM

The party line is the "starting pitching.....". True but... How many times has Mauer struck out? With the bases loaded? Morneau? Hicks - should be in AA. What the....
