Will be best NFL Stadium--Great Design! SKOL

It may as well be a corporate headquarters, wait it is. Forgettable design. If it weren't downtown it would be lost in the million other buildings in the 'burbs that look just like it.

It looks like a chinese take-out carton that's coming undone. Ban the box! Save the dome!

How about PV Solar Panels? The greater the need for energy for A/C, the greater the available sunlight. Think about the message it could send with online meters showing energy production, selling (SELLING to help pay for stadium) energy back, for Mpls,... showcasing (local??) PV solar production... How about legislation pushing us toward buildings with net-positive energy production? Minneapolis, Minnesota, The Vikes could lead the world in building based energy production

I have to agree it does resemble an opera house, diamond or museum. It simply is much more inviting in the way it interacts with the neighborhood. If the park and new office buildings get built, it will be amazing.

“I think this one will be here 100 years from now."-------------------------30 years max and that's assuming the gathering cloud of ex-players and their lawyers don't sue the league out of existence before then.

It looks like the world's largest greenhouse. Maybe Bachman's could become a sponsor. And with that clear, or at least, very translucent roof, think of the cooling costs in the summer. I think the idea of solar to help offset the power needs is a good idea.

One can only wonder what would Minnesotans fall for next. This isn't progress. The dome was built for $55 mil and got used well beyond what anyone could imagine for the cost. Now your building something that very well could be a white elephant. A billion dollars plus before it's over with. So many red flags. Just a few. 1) The Vikings have never been that competitive to warrant a building like that. 2) There is no guarantee it can be filled throughout the year to be profitable. 3) The design with all that glass can only make for a lot of reflections and a poor playing environment for the players and the fans. I see to many red flags.

And where would you put these solar panels? Please don't say you'd cover up the glass roof with them.
