There’s no way Major League Baseball can completely remove the human element from the game. But its willingness to look at expanding instant replay is overdue and should be applauded.

The technology is obviously available to expand replay. The problem is simply how much replay will add to the length of games. Lets not have 3.5-4 hour games become the norm in MLB

you forgot one LaVelle...Mauer's phantom tag at home plate that Bremer wet his pants over...don't get too excited it's BOZO BUD that's handling it...i saw one last night in a double A game runner slid under the wanted an out call well, have to put the tag down low..

I agree with LENIII. Its high time to expand replay. I'm all for beating the White Sox anytime, any day of the week...can't beat them enough for me...but let's do it fairly. Morneau was out and Dunn was safe. Those were terrible calls. I think the solution will be for MLB to have a replay official in a booth with all the technology he needs to make the right call as swiftly as possible. Its do-able and its about time.

Instant replay will guarantee more empty seats at the ballpark. Games are already excessively long...batters adjusting everything from their underwear to shoelaces before every pitch. most games are pure torture to endure.
