Iowa gets Indiana and Maryland. The Gophers get Ohio State and Michigan?

I don't care what Iowa got, but getting both OSU and Michigan is brutal. Hope Phil will be up for it!

I'm totally irate about this. One of the top two....fine. Both? Ridiculous. Add in TCU and we now easily have a Top 5 strength of schedule for a team that prays to make it to 7-5 consistently. It's not OK. One win makes a huge difference. Not to say they can't rise up and get one of these games, but now you almost HAVE to win the 3 non-con creampuffs and 3 of NW, Purdue, @Illinois, Iowa, @TCU just to get bowl eligible. 7-5 next season would be a remarkable achievement for them. And everyone would hate them because they lost their last three games of the season (Neb,, OSU, Wisconsin.)

Ho hum. Until the Gophers show they are competitive, future schedules are meaningless.

Karma. And the Big Ten taking it upon themselves to balance out the Gophers' terribly weak non-conference schedule. I think it's completely fair. You shouldn't be able to artificially inflate your record by playing against the Sisters of the Poor every week in non-conference.

Looks like it will take about $4.8 million to get this schedule the way little jerr wants it! lol

Good to see and good to hear that the Gophers are being pushed by the conference to stop scheduling patsies (some of whom have beaten the Gophers) just to try to become eliglbe for yet another toilet bowl. The embarassment of buying out of a homne and home against a very modest D-I team, North Carolina, will continue to define Coach Kill for years to come as it strongly suggests that he does not have confidence in his ability to recruit players that can play at the D-I level. It would be poetic justice as well if the replacement team from East Overshoe Tech, that is, New Mexico State, beats Kill's "highly talented" Gophers this fall. If that happens, it will be interesting to hear how Kill and Teague spin that loss in a positive manner.
