I don't even care that the move for Webb to WR is so overdue. I'm just glad it's finally done. Even without seeing the results just yet, I think the GM's move to get Cassel to allow this switch may be his best (and most cost-effective) in the past couple of years. It may offset the trade with the Pats for the 3rd first round pick if Patterson goes bust.

They wasted a superior athlete for about 2 years...very bad judgment in my opinion. Webb should be a star at receiver. Just get the ball in his hands with some running room and he could bring back memories of Randy Moss in his prime.

So where does he fit? I see Jennings and Patterson on the perimeter, and there is no way Patterson ends up a bust. The slot? Hehe..

Well overdue except for the fact it is rumored that he has terrible hands. If so, just like Troy Williamson, he would be worthless except as a returner or gimmick type player. If he can catch then yes, should have been moved to wideout right away.

The Vikes have destroyed this guys career.

nutsokindo (The Vikes have destroyed this guys career.) Are you kidding me, this is the only chance he still has to play in this league. It honestly is a huge favor to Joe due to the fact he cant quarterback at all.

Webb was rojected as a WR comming out of college. I think that the biggest thing that changed this was that the Wildcat was the latest NFL hype that most teams were trying to find a way to incorperate into their offenses. When the defenses caught, it left Webb as a good athlete, that was not a good QB. This move could work in alot of different ways. #1 it most likely saved Webb's career #2 with his size, and speed, and WR background, he might end up a good NFL WR. #3 his move to WR may cause players like Simpson, Burton, to step up their game, simply out of fear of losing playing time, or their jobs. He will need alot of work. This is just another good reason why the Jenning's signing was a great move. I hope the kid pans out at WR. GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope he's not a day late and a dollar short.
