It will really be refreshing to see the Gophers add some shooters for a change. Tubby's teams were athletic, but at times brutal from the field and definitely from the line.

I don't know how well it work, but Pitino obviously has a plan on how he wants to build this team. I don't think we will see many shot clock violations from the run and gun Gophers next year.

Coleman only played well every 10th game

Couldn't be happier with this move. Coleman looked lost 75% of the time, and his trepidation doesn't bode well for Patino's style. Although, it could've been Tubby holding him back. Time will tell...

Coleman would have been expected to make jump shots and play defense...neither of which he does well.

I think Coleman will do well wherever he goes. He has good size and strength; although, he may lack a bit in speed. He was a credit to Minnesota kids playing the game.

Supposedly Coleman has other D1 offers, but being 6'4" with limited ball handling skills and outside shooting ability and being a "tweener" defensively as well, he would be better off going to a D2 where he could be a very solid player. The crosstown paper seems to be taking a shot at Pitino for not having any Minnesota kids on the current roster, but that is all on Tubby. Pitino plays a style every kid likes playing so hopefully the Gophers have a few locals on the squad from the class of '14.

I hope that it works out for Coleman who while rugged and athletic, often failed to show up in many games...just like williams and other Gophers often did as well. I still cannot undersand how any astute oberver could have claimed that the 201-13 Gophers were "Tubby's best ever" as they simply were not a very good team on a consisten basis...as was proven by their low finish in conference play. Hopefully, after working on his game, Coleman will be able to sign with another D-I team and also be able to play competively and consistently at that level.

Fingers crossed we get this Buckles kid too. I like what Pitino is doing, but it sounds like we're gonna need him to round out this guard heavy roster......
