While in theory I support the drop to .05 (and even zero tolerance, and I myself have a DUI from years ago -- only one, and I learned a very valuable lesson, and haven't taken chances since), I have to question its value. I think it's simply about money -- a revenue generation program. At .05, your driving is not going to be impaired to the degree that anyone -- civilian, cop -- would determine that you are driving under the influence. So the .05 will be something they tack on when they pull you over. "I noticed your tail light is out and you didn't use your turn signal... hey... do I smell beer?"
