35W bridge progress - and bridge politics

MnDOT hosted lawmakers on a tour of the new 35W bridge, then defended its record on maintaining the failed bridge.

excellent management technique, in fact. only marred by the nagging incident with all the live TV and the dead in the river and such. I'm sure there is a reason they don't want to feature Minnesota bridges internationally on the stage of the GOP Presidential Nominating Convention. but somehow, I just can't put my finger on why.....

... when all your transportation funding goes to choo-choo trains and buses, and not to roads and maintenance. Of course, the difference between roads and "transit" is that people actually use roads.

...and you'll see them using the death of innocent people for hateful political purposes. This isn't Republican or Democrat (unless they're willing to equally blame their endorsed 6th District candidate El Tinklenberg, too), it was a failure to understand that gusset plates had so much significants. Anyone using this for politics should be shamed out of the public debate because they have no conscience.

It's absolutly amazing how fast this team is building the new bridge. I've been watching the process about every 2 weeks and I am impressed with the quality, how fast, and safetly they are working. They are blue collar people representing the United States of America.
