the investigation started because Republican's requested a special prosecutor to investigate the leaks that outed a CIA operative that infiltrated al Qaeda in Yemen. That is why Holder stepped aside. The phone logs were examined to determine who leaked to the AP. That leak blew the operatives cover and jeopardized the mission. That was a valuable asset that was lost.

He may have removed himself from the "decision," but that didn't remove himself from the "responsibility." Can anyone honestly believe he didn't know what was going on in his own department? Would his minions actually have begun the investigation if they thought it would be against his wishes? This doesn't pass the smell test.

"Would his minions actually have begun the investigation if they thought it would be against his wishes?" .... wait, you don't think that leaks that outed a CIA operative that infiltrated an al Qaeda cell are warranted?

If all this crap with the AP and the IRS and Bengazi had been done under a Republican's watch, the STRIB would be howling for blood. And as if to excuse their own behavior, all the partisan Democrats commenters here can come up with is, "well, the other side did it, too!" This is strictly grade-school playground thinking ... "well, *he* started it!" Let's not forget that Nixon was impeached for Watergate, a decidedly lesser level of shenanigans, compared to the outright crimes of the current administration.

What ever happened to "the buck stops here"? Either the O administration is most stupid, lazy and inept admin in history or they did know and they did order this along with the other growing scandals of this admin.... Either way, they need to leave...

Bullfeathers, Mr. Holder. You are the leader. You take the good, the bad, and the ugly. You are responsible for your minions.
