Do you suppose Hicks read Souhan's column today?

lindy_frank123May. 13, 1310:14 PM

good game, good team win, good aaron hicks, but another bad first inning....

When Josh starts hitting, this lineup will be downright scary. The bottom half of the lineup scored 5 runs, same as the top 5 hitters. The defense was great. They're starting to play the Twins way, and will only get stronger as time goes on. Scott Baker still hasn't recovered from Tommy John surgery. Good thing they didn't re-sign him. We have healthy players and pitchers, unlike previous seasons when a lot were hurt at one time or another, like Pavano, Baker, Nathan, Liriano, Neshek, Blackburn,Slowey, Morneau, Mauer, to name a few. We have talent waiting in the wings. The days of players like Matt Tolbert and Brendan Harris are over. Health, power, offense, defense, pitching....this team is coming together nicely. Can't wait for Arcia and Hicks to blossom. Holy Cow!

Another night off here for those who predicted 106 losses.

Give Gardy credit for sticking with Hicks. Of course he didn't have much choice. Nice anyway.

voner26May. 14, 13 7:43 AM

Hicks had a great night for a rookie. Now its time for Gardy pooh to move the hammer down in the line up to take some pressure off of him.

fishstixMay. 14, 13 8:00 AM

hicksy had himself a game! and he showed us what his potential is. another young athlete in town, christian ponder, has never shown us what his potential is-probably because what he's shown us is all he has.

bolock54May. 14, 13 8:31 AM

Just leave Hicks alone and let him develop..... this kid is gonna be a good one, and this team needs a good centerfielder....What do all of you Hicks critics think now??????

sportcity444May. 14, 13 8:57 AM

Anyone notice those 2 HR were both hit right-handed? Hicks is a natural righty, he just took up switch-hitting a couple years ago, it's clearly not natural for him. Minnesotans have proven tolerant and open-minded lately - let's continue that by taking Hicks' lefty batting helmet out of the dugout - end right-handed-only hitting prejudice now!
