how in blazes do you blow a 6-0 lead at home? well with Gardy anything's possible..

I remember the game in Baltimore many, many years ago, where we had a 10-run lead and lost (which incidentally made a cameo appearance in the movie A Few Good Men). C'mon guys, stop giving it up to Balty!

I live in MD and listen to the Orioles commentators for this game. Gary Thorne said The Twins made a big mistake not having the bull pen ready when Pellfrey was at his normal pitch count. Three runs later the comeback was started. Gardenhire blew this game.. I'm not a Gardy "hater" and believe he jammed this one up, disappointing to say the least.

How can mr Gardenhire just sit/stand there and watch those pitchers fail without removing them? In my view he did what he did all last year. Left pitchers in too long. It's the only way you get from 6-0 to 6-9. Humiliating.

Disgusting. Gardy needs to learn to pull pitchers before they give up multiple runs. But you can't teach old Gardy new tricks.

Agree re: mgr. did the same thing against Detroit. I know it's early in the season but common sense says put Pelfrey on short leash by 6th inning. Gardenhire is going to be gone by the end of the season. He continues to make the same choices that end in losses.

Lame, was hoping they'd be more cutthroat after the well-played Boston series. Seemed like they were continuing that for the first half of the game.

How could they roll over like that after playing the Red Sox like they deserved to be there ??? ...

Dantes929May. 10, 1311:44 PM

Geez, Gardy didn't drop a fly ball in right. Arcia did. Gardy didn't give up 3 runs. Presley did. Gardy didn't give up 3 runs in the 10th. Swarzak did. Gardy wasn't 3-17 with runners in scoring position. The players did. Really like Arcia but he makes a good (not great) catch and Pelfrey throws a 3 inning shutout and the Twins win 6-3. Lackey did a similar thing that helped us win in Boston. Just disappointing we stopped scoring and they didn't.

Sorry if Arcia makes the catch Pelfrey throws 6 scoreless innings. Defense wins games.
