Fire Mike Yeo Hire an experienced NHL coach Buyout Heatley! Do not resign Bouchard Make Parise captain Find a first line center Moe Koivu to center second line Find a new starting goaltender Resign Cullen to a smaller cap number Trade Clutterbuck for the best offer Tell Brodziak that he cannot be near the powerplay Stoner is not an NHL defenseman Do what you can to beef up Coyle and Brodin for next season Just some basic ideas

This team desperately needs a #1 center, and if that means trading Mikko Koivu, it's time it starts considering it. Mikko's not leading this team anywhere. And if you want to capitalize on the signings of Parise and Suter, you may well have to say goodbye to Mikko. I'd just assume buy out his last four years, but do whatever you can to move out his $6.85M salary cap hit. That is one big thing killing this team's potential. This team NEEDS to get stronger up the middle.

By the way, Michael, I saw on a reputable site that the cap space for the Wild is a little over $11M for next year, before any buyouts.

1st order of business-Hire Dave Tippett. 2nd-Trade Koivu & Clutterbuck for Vanek & Stafford. Koivu and Parise have next to zero chemistry. Acquire Halak or Elliott from St. Louis. Dump all defense from 3 on down. Time to rebuild-this isn't rocket science. The team has a dedicated owner some strong building blocks now it needs a GM.with some stones & a Coach who is NHL ready. The end.

Seems that Brodziak and Clutterbuck wont be back next year. I don't see PMB coming back or Falk getting signed (Prosser is signed for next year and plays as well as Falk and better in certain situations- unless he get's traded). A beefed up blueline would be nice but who is available? I think Gilbert is OK he should stay in a wild uniform next year. With Scandella looking like he may be ready for the NHL and Dumba possibly available in a year, I think the bigger problem is forwards. With the lack of scoring, unless the Wild can work some magic to free up cap space and sign Vanek, I think its critical to keep Heatley on the roster- he's the only sniper we have and he still has the hands and skill for it. The Wild stumbled without him as they did without Cullen. Cullen absolutely needs to stay a well.

Vanek is a dream that needs to come TRUE!

I thought Russo was done for the season writing for the Wild.

Question. When people make these statements - trade player A and B for Player C and D, what makes you think that deal is possible? There are laundry lists on this page, and they are unrealistic. The other teams want to win as well. Remember, Buffalo charged a high price for Pomenville. That is what NBA fans talk about on 1130. What is killing the Wild are darfts like 2006 where the top 7 were Johnson,J Staal, Toews, Backstrom, Kessel, Brassard and Okposo. We got Sheppard. 2005, Crosby, Bobby Ryan, Jack Johnson ahead of us we got Pouliot - Who was rated 2nd. Look at those stars. And we have restocked true, but even those GREAT players that have won took a few years to turn it around.

Remember too, Pomenville was leading scorer in April and had that line with PMB and Brodziak as a threat. That really made a difference in the 5 games he was out, and at least the 6th, his first game back. The "Edmonton" game, without Pomenville and a unfortunate effort by goalies changes everything. Perhaps Backstrom was already affected by Hernia. What a difference those two things could have made!

We need a new #1 goalie. Ray Emery and Mike Smith are UFA's. I believe they would have to trade with St. Louis to get Halak. They are not going to get rid of Elliot even after the playoff loss to LA. Maybe Luongo will void his contract or allow it to be severly restructured at less money for a fresh start with a new team.
