I want to know who the scout was that said Steph Curry was not worth that early pick in the first round? I hope Flip fired him; if not please do.

matthewsjames....Curry was not as highly regarded by all back in 2009 in fact many wondered if he could be successful in the NBA.Many liked Jonny Flynn as a pure PG which is what the Wolves were looking for at the time.If you do not believe do the research on your own.The pick now would be much easier now almost 4 years later then it was at the time.As far as Flynn goes until his hip was injured he seemed to be doing fairly well at his position. He seemed to lose a lot of confidence after that and was never able to recover.

Now you can understand what Saunders likely means by adding balance to the roster, with more american players. The team needs a true defensive center like Earvin Johnson who started at center with Garnett at the 4 spot. Pek could play the 4 spot if still on the team with Love at the 3 spot. Their guards are not the problem, when the Wolves lose, it is to the other team's bigs.

Kevin Love play the 3 ? What ? So you have Pek out of position and Love out of position not being able to guard either spot so you can put a defensive center in there ? How bout getting a back up defensive center instead. You don't have to start your 5 best individual players. You have to start the pieces that work together.

I'm not as excited about Flip's ascension as others but I guess he's got to put his brand out there. I'm skeptical of the Saunders-Adelman combo. Two many cooks in the kitchen. I liked what Pete Philo did. I liked the international flavor. I'd liked to have seen what the guys could have done if they'd stayed healthy. Maybe they need a new training staff. Time will tell. Go Wolves!

ljb6599, you're so right. So many people have such great hind sight. Easy call today. What you neglected to include was that Curry had no interest in coming to MN, not even for a predraft workout.

ljb and applejeff ..were there 2 Johnny Flynns in the Draft? You cant rewrite history. Its not second guessing to tell the facts..Not one pro scout had Flynn rated any where near as high as Curry and most analysts had Flynn rated as a potential low lottery pick. Blaming his big flop on a hip injury where he lost his confidence? he was a poor outside shot in college and the pros before he got hurt!! Plus A college he played defense in a floating zone and never played a pro style man to man., Where he playing now?? China?? Khans biggest flaw is he thought he was smarter than then the everyone and the facts when it came to drafting. Flip wont make that mistake.
