Wild shooters aim to overcome Chicago's lane-clogging defense

Had he known beforehand that his team would attempt 68 shots Tuesday, coach Mike Yeo never would have believed the Wild would get shut out by Chicago. Then again, he never would have expected almost 40 percent of those chances to be snuffed out before they got to the net.

Game Plan: Be more physical than you have been all year! As soon as a Hawk touches the puck, knock them on their butts. Keep your feet moving and get that PP moving! Have fun out there, what do you have to lose? Take those easy shots when you have them, don't pass off to someone behind you MK. I think CC and Zucker are important this game. CC has to crush the Hawks and come out of the game with 12 hits, minimum! Zucker has to have the rockets ignited on his skates! Get to the goal Zucker! Do not let any Hawk set up camp in front of our net! If they are in the crease, or the slot, they go down. Hit Kane every time he even looks at the puck. Wear him out! Go get em Wild!

mrbluesky, I agree with your gameplan. Go Wild!

The Hawks strategy might be to put the Wild on the power play as much as possible. Keeps em off the scoreboard and takes the wind out the Wild sails.

I find it interesting to hear Brodziak talk about "get moving" when he is completely incapable of moving and stick-handling at the same time!
