How about we boost the economy by getting our citizens working and taking the income CAP off oF ss.
Funny how selective information is parsed out regarding this insane amnesty idea! Heard today that the projected contribution of the 11 MILLION illegals amnesty is being proposed for is about 3.2 trillion$$. Cost of benefits for the illegals? 9.2 TRILLON. Must be that darn new math. We do not need over 11miilion, poorly educated laborers and their large families given citizenship! We have millions of unemployed, low skilled citizens out of work on the dole (welfare and/or unemployment) that should be put to work. Perhaps the WPA. and civilion conservation corps need to be re-instated. Every able-bodied citizen should be DOING SOMETHING -to take care of themselves financially. Supporting yourself should not be " voluntary". I, personally am done supporting sloth and every single politician that encourages it!
For the VERY short term, SS will be helped. When all these people bring their retired mothers and other family members and they start collecting SS, Funds will deteriorate quickly!
And the other day, the Heritage Foundation released the results of a study that found that the immigration bill (which still does absolutely nothing to protect the borders) would cost American taxpayers $6.3 trillion dollars. The Strib didn't report that study, though. How about just enforcing the current laws that are already in place. If only immigrants in African genocidal nations had the luxury of sneaking across a border.
Wow! If just adding people is the secret to increased Social Security coffers and prosperity, why don't we just annex Mexico and call it square.
There are many other economic benefits to this bill, but they're not easy to see when you're seeing a "taker" behind every fence and wall.
Unbelievable. How dare Senator Grassley suggest let alone propose an amendment that requires the government to secure ouxr borders for A WHOLE SIX MONTHS! What could possibly be wrong with this guy? Poll after poll demonstrates that Americans want the borders secure before even discussing what to do with here illegally. And yet, how does this bill deal with this? It first grants legal status to millions of people who knowingly violated ouxr laws and then leaves the security up to the Homeland Security Secretary (the very one that allowed the Boston bomber back into the country after returning to Russia) to come up with a PLAN to secure the border. And if she doesn't come up with a plan, its referred to a committee. Ooh, not that! That sure will preclude people from further illegally coming into the country. What a joke.
