In a sunbaked stadium filled with more than 57,000 students, friends and relatives, Obama lamented an American political system that gets consumed by "small things" and works for the benefit of society's elite. ********************** I wonder if he realizes that he is part of the problem with the American political system?
I totally agree with him - our government is broken... not only the parties going to the extremes, but the way that corporations can now funnel huge amounts of money into it and buy off your congress person! In my view, the supreme court made a big mistake, and because the money benefits our elected officials, it will take a long time to fix it. Why cut off the hand that feeds you??
I wonder how much paper money Bernanke printed and how much debt the US ran up during the speech? These poor students... graduating with massive debt with no job prospects. How dare Obama call me cynical. He is pure evil, trying to keep this charade up. But the collapse is coming and I hope he is made to pay for his contribution to our global crisis.
Obama is a complete and utter disgrace to the office of the president. What's even more disgraceful is how stupid the collective public is who put him into office with doing zero to no homework. Oh, whooops. Such homework wouldn't have done one iota of difference....
What a pep talk...it kind of sounds like he's throwing in the towel by saying those things. Like he can't do that, so hopefully in 20 years somebody can. What a bleak assessment from from Mr. Hope and Change.
Obama dares them to do better while he gives tax dollar funded money to illegal immigrants for their education. You tell em, you deep thinker!!!!!k
"How dare Obama call me cynical. He is pure evil, trying to keep this charade up.".........this comment gets many thumbs up votes and yet a comment about corporate power being the prime cause of our crumbling democracy gets thumbs down. Mission accomplished for those running the oligarchy. When stupidity reigns, we all lose.
Funny words from the very man who has persistently and purposefully endangered "our brave, creative, unique experiment in self-rule." But yeah all you students, Obama wants you to reject those "cynics" and "obstructionists" who don't let Barry have his own sweet little way with the Constitution and the Bill Of Rights. And remember students, that government is "dysfunctional" and "broken" if anyone has the utter temerity to even mildly question the all-hallowed Obama agenda! Good grief, Barry stamps his foot and pouts more than a 3 year-old...
"I totally agree with him - our government is broken..."
Our government in broken because we elect people like him. No experience in business and virtually no political experience. No leadership skills and a hidden past.
Is really telling them to fix the ill functioning government that he is the leader of?
