This kid better do some serious time. I do not care if he is a juvenile! Someone died here as a result of his uncontroled rage! Bookem Danno!
He will be tried as an adult as he should be. Anyone want to bet that his parents were yelling and screaming at coaches every time he played?
The player needs to be held accountable but I will not comment on the incident or the player, parents or referee since I don't have all the facts. I offer sympathy to the family.
I have been punched in the side of the head just like this individual and luckily for me, all that happened was some ear-ringing and minor loss of hearing. This is a cheap shot from a coward with anger issues just like in my situation. He needs to be tried for 2nd degree as he was committing the crime of assault when this individual died. Let's not go easy on him because he is not 18.
Highly doubt he meat to kill. This is beyond sad or tragic. I'm 45 and ump baseball games, and have been approached by parents and players alike in parking lots. Granted, it's a very few that do, but I can't but help to think of this event the next time I make a call at the plate.
If the kid didn't mean to hurt the person, then he should have never punched him in the first place. He meant to hurt him and there is no excuse for responding this way in a game. Simple as that.
What a sad story. Sports are a microcosm of life, and should be about respecting rules and coping with things when they don't always go your way. This punk deserves any and everything coming his way as a result of this conduct.
HE better be tried as an adult.....Sad...........What a piece of you know what this kids parents raised.
Soccer players. History is filled with bad behavior by the players and their fans. Maybe they just need to have "Soccer is unwatchable boredom" in 150 foot letters on every field and they'd understand the insignificance of their little distraction.
