Cut a staggering $4 trillion from deficits while protecting big benefit programs, subsidizing more health care, plowing extra money into education and avoiding tax increases on everyone except the rich? Not on this Earth. - And this is a revelation to the Strib? All they have done is run cover and be a cheerleader in a short skirt for Obama. So much for the press being the watchdog of government. In the United States, the media is often called the fourth branch of government (or "fourth estate"). That's because it monitors the political process in order to ensure that political players don't abuse the democratic process. Apparently the Strib does not understand the concept. Cheer on!
Problem with the "cutting $4 trillion from the deficit is that it does nothing about how much deficit there will be even with the cutting. Spin, spin, spin
One other promise that was made: Transparency. Outcome -> Failure, Prospects -> Don't see it getting any better.
