Bridge (weapons convoy) and weapons storage facility were taken out...... Hit the and hit them hard!!!
Violence is the solution to your problems. Listen up kids.
Israel has a dog in this fight. America does not. It was a mistake to even suggest a "red line", but even more of a mistake to withdraw timidly when the time came to back up the tough words. Israel's actions in the past and now bespeak a purpose, but all America is to the tinhorn despots in that part of the world is a paper tiger. They do not take us seriously, and have been given no reason in the past five years to do so.
Israel's action probably prevented a future disaster for them. So I back Israel's pre-emptive action 100%. We now are facing jihad for the first time in modern American history (although the Barbary Wars were connected to this, as well). I would think we can develop much sympathy for Israel, our best Middle Eastern ally. It is no stretch to think of both Assad and the rebels who oppose him as fascists, driven by hatred and undemocratic to the core. Given that scenario, the possession of chemical or biological weapons by either side in that conflict ought to be negated by the rest of the world. Instead, the world turns a blind eye while Hizbullah attempts to
acquire them. So I wish Israel all the best in destroying the weapons and the arms depots that store weapons that both sides in Syria's bloodbath, and that Hizbullah, would use against them in their pursuit of a Judenrein world.
After 60+ years of conflict it is clear that the status quo is the goal. Who benefits?
After 20 years in the intelligence business - if Israel and the Mossad said they were rockets, then we can be assured that it was dog food and rice... Mossad has never missed - just ask them... or ask the CIA (e.g., how about those WMDs in Iraq, eh? or those Hezbolla farmers who kicked Israels butt in southern Lebanon? )... Mossad press release claiming advanced secret stealth super weapon destroyed, at 10....
Don't care what Israel does or doe not do as long as we stay out of it. We are still in Afghanistan for no reason whatsoever. Time to get completely out of that part of the world. Can't mixed unmixable cultures.
hobie2: Your comments don't sound like someone in the intelligence business. I don't buy it for one minute. From experience I can tell you people who have been take an oath not to talk about it.
MVP: No kidding you "support 'Israel' 100%". you also support its apartheid policies and occupation and its confiscation of freedom and liberty of the Palestinians. As for this airstrike, It is most likely a strike helping the regime who always kept borders with the Apartheid Regime's safe even though the Golan Heights being under occupation. Basically, The Apartheid Regime will strike who ever is winning to keep both parties in stalemate and destroy as much of Syria as possible so the Middle Eastern countries will spend another 50 years busy re-building and not paying attention to the theft of land and pure oppression that the Apartheid Regime is wreaking on the Palestinians.
