As a billionaire businessman, Glen Taylor has bought his share of companies over the years. He’s also had proposed deals fall apart before they reached pen-to-paper finality as sellers expressed a change of heart.

“He said to me, ‘Are you really interested in selling the team? You don’t act like it,’ ” Taylor said. “I said, ‘No, I’m not.’ ” Then Flip said " Geeze Glen, I have nothing to do with my time. I have a great idea... Hire me as General Manager then give me some ownership" Taylor ponders this for a moment then replies. " That sounds great will you be my friend too"?

We are lucky to have an owner like Glen Taylor who's committed to keeping the Wolves in Minnesota. Loyalty is hard to find these days

"northstars91" - couldn't agree with you more. Taylor's move hiring Flip will right the franchise. My family and I really enjoyed watching the team this year and it will only get better.

":northstars91" You hit the nail on the head and gldolson you are also right about hiring Flip, with Flip and Adelman running the show the future should be very bright. Thank you Mr. Taylor for your efforts to keep the Wolves in MN. Certainly you have made some mistakes but I do believe you are doing what is best for the team and for Minnesota!!

I'm glad for these moves, too, but whether it will finally put this franchise on a good path is doubtful. When Ray Allen was drafted and then traded for Stephon Marbury I believe it set the stage for years and years of dumb decisions. Imagine having KG and Ray Allen as the cornerstone to build on. I hate to think about it.

stewart0731, I went through a box of hankies after reading your touching comment. It's all about friends and nostalgia with Glen and Flip. Now get Joe Smith back...
