Summer jobs: Help (not) wanted

Gas prices aren't the only shocker of the season. Teenagers are facing their toughest road ever in securing summer jobs.

Let's raise minimum wages even more so fewer and fewer people have the opportunity to find summer jobs!

Employers have to pass along costs of increased wages or taxes or reduce payroll. How the liberals don't see how their policies directly cause layoffs & fewer hirings is beyond me. It's ironic that so many Obama supporters are the youth who need these lower-paying jobs. If Obama's policies are enacted, (higher taxes, increased min wage, etc.) there will be even FEWER jobs next summer. Don't let Obama fool you into thinking he's only going to tax "the rich." It's the "rich" who are employing these teens and will not be able to afford to do so anymore.

The day I got my Diploma from the University of North Dakota was the same day I left for flight officer ground school for US Airways.

thanks to the Republicans. The traditional economic model for Minnesota families will not work anymore. Train your kid to be a capitalist, not a worker.

you have to be honest with these young adults and finance their protest. Look at the MN income tax and where that tax goes every year. I say get a sign 'impeach' the pawn keep jobs in minnesota. I'd pay my kid to fight for the mn job that went to India.
