Welcome home Flip!

Should we read anything into the fact that Adelman wasn't present for the presser? Just curious...

Didn't Flip get his coaching start with a couple three years at Golden Valley Lutheran Community College? Bill G.

Does this make us better and do we give Flip a free pass for the next 3 years or are we still the same flawed team that has been in exsistence for the last 10 years. I say the latter. Flip gets no free one from me nor does the organization, With exception to 2-3 years when KG was da man this organization has been terrible and will continue to be. Just show me wins baby...but we all know this team has been Bambinoed, Bartmaned and Wriglyfied. Mark my words Flip will be gone in 3 years.

Trolls (ie. genericlogin)...go away. If you are not interested, just don't read about the T-Wolves. Go read the gardening section, the opinion section, whatever. Obviously, by first reading the article, then taking the time to comment you are interested.

I've watched almost all of the Wolves games for the last 10 years, so I'm a true fan and have a very intimate understanding of the current squad and past team dynamics. I think we currently have more talent across the board at all positions than we've probably had at any point in the history of the team. That said, that fact doesn't really matter if we can't have everyone healthy and on the court at the same time. When completely healthy, we are probably still one player away (big/physical shooting guard that can be a factor at both ends of the court) from being a strong Western Conference contender. Although, who knows maybe we already have pieces in place, as we've yet to see everyone we have play together at full strength. We have a great coach, we have 5 strong starters (Rubio, Buddinger (would play Chase at the 2), AK-47, Love, and Pekovic), and some good talent off the bench (Barea, Shved, Ridnour, Gelabale, D-Will, Cunningham, Stiemsma, and Johnson). Another year of maturity will definitely help. With the talent we already have, I think having Flip as the GM will be a very good thing. He's well liked and respected across the league (necessary to do good trades), he's respected by elite players, he has a lot of game experience (playing and coaching), he has a high basketball IQ, and has proven to be a winner. His time at the Wizards was a joke! My high school squad had more talent than what he was given to work with there!

Tragic the University of Minnesota did not hire flip as their B-Ball coach many moons ago.

I'm a self-proclaimed "true fan" too. Curious how a person knows if Flip is "well respected" and "respected by elite players." Ease up on the homer koolaid, shadjc. If asked, elite players aren't going to say anything other than what they are expected to say. Off the record, who knows. I suspect that Flip has very little respect from players.
