It is a classic military mistake to put a force on land without access to the sea. A wise Commander-in-Chief would never do that.
Get these people home, focus on our own problems, and stop pissing away our tax dollars. We get absolutely NOTHING from this.
Uh, AP - there is no ejecting from a KC 135.
The US military flies some of the oldest aircraft in the world including the KC-135 which is a modified B-707. It is a tribute to the mechanics of the US Air Force who keep these air planes flying but their mechanical miracles can only go so far. The US Congress has misplaced priorities when it comes to national security and often places parochial interests (re-election) ahead of national security needs.
