FDA wrapping up safety review of chemical in antibacterial soap after 40 years of delays

WASHINGTON - It's a chemical that's been in U.S. households for more than 40 years, from the body wash in your bathroom shower to the knives on your kitchen counter to the bedding in your baby's basinet.

Is it harmful? Maybe it won't kill you today, but 5 years from now you might die of a antibiotic resistant infection.

Nice to know something has been on the market for 40 years and they still aren't sure it's safe. Awesome. Go government. I feel so much safer with you in charge.

And people think the government is right? Wonder why we have kids with more allergies, lower immune system and kids hitting puberty at record low ages? My doc has always said just go with regular soap not antibacterial
