Food and skin allergies increase in children, survey shows, but health officials not sure why

It's because of the diagnosis blitz. Every little bump, ache, pain, or mood becomes a "disorder" for which there is a lot of expensive pharmaceuticals and specialist treatments. In days gone by, if we complained of a rash or stomach-ache, or even a broken finger, our folks just told us to shut up and go to bed. So we did.
