Henderson will flourish at mike linebacker. Skol! 13-3!

Jennings is excited because he'll probably get a lot of one-on-ones. He'll be a lot less excited when Ponder can't make an accurate throw beyond 5 yards and gets Jennings killed going over the middle.

Half the year Ponder was throwing to an injured Jerome Simpson, Michael Jenkins, rookie Jarius Wright, and often double teamed Kyle Rudolph. He played very well the last four games when he needed to and got us to the playoffs. He still has alot to show everyone and this year there's no excuses. It's time to lead and live up to the high draft pick we spent on him.

Funny how uneducated fans keep talking about Ponder not being accurate. As ALL QB's do early in their careers he had a slump, before that slump he was the most accurate passer in the NFL hitting 70% plus in almost all of his first 8 games. When asked to he has ACCURATELY hit the down field play, gee it's almost like his first career pass never happened, oh, wise football men did you forget about that ball that went 50 yards in the air right into the arms of the receiver. Get educated about the game. You think it makes you look knowledgeable saying the same thing about Ponder over and over, but it doesn't.

I agree ponder was rated as a accurate QB and has shown to get better. Some of his passes were downright awful and he should be diligently working to improve. He let's pressure get to him and its noticeable in his game. He needs to relax more and have faith that his guys will allow him time to make an accurate pass. If Ponder was a bad QB he would of got dropped already. This is his year to be a star and show he has what it takes to be a high end QB.

vikson64 - Funny how you mention the one time Ponder hit Wright running down the middle, but forgets all the times he threw the ball 3 yards out of bounds not giving the WR a chance to make a play. Also, that 70% completion rate? See how many completions were actually caught beyond 5 yards and get back to me. Thanks.

Bredpath-- I believe Vikson64 was referring to Ponder's first pass as a starter that was completed to Michael Jenkins. Just curious, out of Cam, Locker, Gabbert and Ponder, who's been to the playoffs? Don't feel it's as bad as you seem to think.

Henderson will never work at MLB, Ponder can't throw, with the loss of Winfield, and Harvin, the D-backs, and WR's will all forget how to play football, Frazier should be fired, Spielman's drafted players will all be busts. Did I leave anything out? AND it's only May 3rd. Gotta love the Team's fans. We can only hope that the franchise will not fold before Camp opens. Is there any REAL Viking Fans out there ? GO VIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should be an interesting season and a lot can happen but I think that they will make it as a wild card again. I think the toughest games will be away at GB, Chi, Sea, and NY (Eli and the boys will have a better season this year). If they can win at home in the division (GB, Chi, Det), at Detroit, then win Cle, Pitts, Car, Dallas, and Philly they'll have a good shot with another W or 2 in there.

All the "strength and conditioning" training in the world will never help "Pea Shooter" arm Ponder improve his game nor will it help the vikings out of last place in the NFC North in 2013. If you look at the 2013 schedule the vikings do not have the luxury of playing 5 of the league's worst teams ( Jags, Titans, Rams, Cardinals, Lions) like they did last season with the exception of the Lions. It is clear that this club will be back to 6-10 in 2013 and that is the best they can hope for.
