Sheesh, if that had happened back in WWII, the Principal would have personally hauled the airman up on stage for applause! I often wonder why our military risks their lives for the self-involved and ungrateful civilian population we have these days?

Should the rule be changed to allow anyone over 21? Should it just be brothers? Should it be people from the Air Force? What if it is a boy friend and not a brother? What if it is a 30 year old boy friend in the Air Force? What if the student is a 17 year old boy and his date is a 30 year old female Marine? If the principal had taken it on himself to make an exception someone would have complained to the school board and he would have been fired. The school board needs to write the policy but it is a mine field.
