Obviously the child has learned. Punishing him by making him lose his school friends, via not being allowed to go back to that school, does not sound like a very good way forward.

I am a parent of that school on that horrific day. There was nothing in that article about the second call he made ? Apparently he had some concept of what he was doing that he called twice. So much emphasis on that he is adopted out of this country with special needs. They are taking away from the True Nature of this act that could cause trama on the children of that school for the rest of there lives. So all this kid has to do is write a sorry note, sweep it under the rug so it makes the parents feel better ? Does he even know what sorry means/does he even acknowledge right from wrong ? Many questions still need to be answered and they are dancing around the Severity of this whole thing.

Naturally parents of children at this school are upset. And withdrawing this child from the school may be intended as a lesson to the child, but it may also serve to protect him. I hope everyone can move forward in healthy ways.

The parents of non special needs children...count your blessings and learn forgiveness. You are lucky. No parent asks for this and I am sure the child's parents are embarrassed and humiliated. Cut them a break and be thankful it was just a prank. Many families in Connecticut would be thrilled to have this over what they experienced. It could always be worse.....

Seriously, your precious kid will get over it a lot faster than this kid will. Lighten up...he made a major mistake, and he and his entire family have been ostracized for it.

neonlove - I hope your little darlings never get into any mischief. I promise you that the childs note of apology didn't sweep it under the rug or make his parents feel better.
