My heavens. And for those of us who long for a simplified tax system. Those asking for single payer (that is government run) health care should also be hoping for a 1/2 page tax form.... send in 10% of what you make, no matter your total income, and be done with it. But then many people in the CPA and tax prep business would be out of a job. Hold it, many people in the insurance industry will also be out of a job, I guess.I guess it seems to only matter if you're the one loosing your job and none to replace it with say nothing of one that is equal pay and benefits. A serious question... A question that the pollsters didn't seem to ask to get the facts out: What does the general public think that the law provides for co-pays for each medical visit and how much is the deductible? Both these items seem lacking from a lot of the media coverage of this issue. I do not know the answer, but I have friends assuming that their coverage will be very low or no copay, and that there will not be a deductible to accumulate before insurance kicks in. I wonder if this is true, or if those waiting for this program to begin will be in for a rude awakening when they go to their first visit and need to come up with money they don't have in the first place? Does the program provide assistance for those without enough for co-pays or to their deductibles? I'm sure it is in those 2600 pages the Supreme Court Justices didn't have time to read.

It would be helpful if there was some sort of MN specific information in this article. I would be interested if, under the MN exchange, we would have to fill out this form or one designed just for MN. As far as the cost, if I get an increase of $1,000, I will probably break even since it will cover my yearly physicals, blood work and mamograms which I pay for myself now because they are subject to the deductible. When I started an individual policy, I asked my doctor what a mamogram cost. She had no idea since most employer insurnace plans cover the cost. Having an individual plan has really opened my eyes to the true cost of health care.

As terrible as this law is, getting beant out of shape over any of it's aspects seems like a waste of our time. Either wait for congress to repeal it, or write your own repeal as is your right to challange this unconstitutional abuse of political non-authority. One way or another our healthcare system will require fixing. mandating prive insurance profit or non-profit is not only illegal, it's not going to provide one person healthcare. Time to do the work our priesident didn't want to do and let the insurance companies know it's time for them to retrain for some other field of commerce.

"A Kaiser Family Foundation poll released Tuesday found that 4 in 10 are unaware it's the law of the land. Some think it's been repealed by Congress. In fact, it's still on track."---AMAZING! Minnesota is now on track for the exchanges. For those who have to buy individual insurance it should be a decease in premiums and deductibles because you are in a "group." The insurance companies in the exchange must provide yearly physicals, mammograms without increase in cost to the insured. Minnesota will be getting the information out to people this spring and summer so that they will reach that 40% who think it is REPEALED! I shouldn't be so shocked, but there are millions of people who don't follow the news but listen to sound bites or their uninformed friends.

Your healthcare will be in the hands of the IRS starting October 1. Everyone seems ok with that. What a way to kill 200 years of progress and freedom. Your family tree is weeping at your stupidity. We fought a world war to prevent this....
