goferanz...I wish it were true that people didn't care about his sexual orientation but nothing could be farther from the truth. In MN last session the Republicans tried to pass a law that would have allowed gay people to be fired simply for being gay. And, you may recall that it was only a few years ago that people were not disqualified from serving in the military simply because they were gay. You can pretend that no one cares, but in truth there are a lot of people that do care and have tried to keep gay people in the closet.

The only thing extraordinary about this is his timing and his use of the media for his "coming out" party that provides him with 30 more seconds of fame that he would otherwise not have gotten because he's a washed-up below-average NBA player.

NBA owners think only about ONE thing, MONEY! If he can play Basketball, no one cares about his sexual orientation. This is being blown way out of proportion.
