When the Twins selected Ben Revere in the first round of the 2007 draft, many draft analysts assumed it was a reach and a cost-saving move by the club. One year later, Revere is hitting .413 for the Beloit (Wis.) Snappers.

Hey jagbag! KG just one the big one. Remember him? I'm guessing you can find a MN angle on that. Isn't that more newsworthy then last year's twin's 1st rounder. Swing and a miss!

Not in center or even Right Field with a arm that requires cutoff guys to finish the play.. Left fielders with weak arms that start regularly have one thing in common.. they hit lots of balls over the Fence.. Left field is a power position (on most teams).Young Mr. Revere has a ways to go..I wish him the best in Developing Power,,other wise drafting a small sized, good singles hitter with a weak arm doesn't sound like a number one pick

What's with people? Reusse writes about a Twins minor leaguer with a bright future, and you've got off topic idiots out there talking Garnett. I believe there are plenty of Garnett stories for people to comment on.

Perhaps you could look into your crystal ball and tell us what this kid is going to look like in 3-5 years when he might have a shot a gettin a cup of coffee in the bigs. Reusse has a nice article about a good kid and you have to whine.

Rather than compare him to other 1st round picks in that draft, I think you need to compare him to the 3rd rounders since that is where he would have gone had the Twins not drafted him. Also, this is a nice fluff piece on a slow news day but prognosticating on a undersized hitter hitting 400 for less than a full season and on a class A baseball team is kind of reaching. The minors are full of these guys. 80% never make the bigs.
