Curt is so awesome! When Discovery was moved to the Udvar-Hazy museum in DC, Sun Country had a special day trip to go see the orbiter and meet an astronaut. Once at the museum, we saw some planes, then hurried over to the conference room to hear from the astronaut. It was Curt, and he talked about his experiences flying Discovery; but what was more exciting was the Q&A forum that followed. We would’ve been there for days asking him questions; and he gracefully answered ALL inquiries. Best part of our adventure... when we boarded our 737 to return to Minneapolis; it was now known Curt was our pilot! Here’s a guy that has re-entered our planet’s atmosphere at 17,000 miles per hour…never felt safer traveling knowing he was at the stick!

Curt congrats from Scotty and I (the kid with all the questions from the trip to D.C.) You are a true professional and a person to look up to. Keep up your positive attitude, your work to get NASA moving in the right direction and thanks for being a hero to my son and other kids in the midwest. Scotty is still looking at that Air Force Academy!! Your the best!!
