If you are signed, work hard, keep your mouth shut and attitude in check. Cris got knocked around during his early years, dont see this as the only stop for young Carter, wish him well.

This is just another Father using his influence to open a door that their kid has not earned. I love that his Dad says that his "route running is his strength". How stupid is that? His kid doesn't want to hurt his Dad's name. He already has.

Come on guys ease up on the bashing. Chris turned his life around and his kid can too. Christ wasn't the one who "hated school" don't put that on dad. And besides, a lot of football players that were drafted "hated" school.

From the Vikings viewpoint, there is nothing to loose and everything to gain here. Who knows where your next great player will come from. Give him a chance just as you would want yours.

College isn't for everyone. The comments by a former QB of his is worrisome. But the old man wasn't any better at his age either. Let's hope the kid gets his head straight, works hard and doesn't rest on daddy's name alone.

I have high hopes for him but low expectations after reading his comments. Sounds to me like he hasn't hit bottom yet, that his ego is still bigger than his list of accomplishments

It will take more than working hard when he puts on that Viking uniform but I believe he can do it. Give the kid a chance and see where it leads. Might turn out to be the least expensive wide receiver the Vikings could get.

Signing young Mr. Carter as an undrafted free agent is a low risk move. If the kid persists with the bad attitude and poor work ethic he won't be around for long. But it's worth a shot to see what he's got.

Pretty sure C.C. is telling him he's lucky to be afforded this opportunity, so don't mess it up. The kid's 6'4" and runs alright. The Vikes aren't what you would call loaded at WR, so if he pans out, it's a low risk/high reward situation.

Chill out people. I hated high school and college too. I was a trouble maker in my younger days. How i would have loved to be a pro football player. I dreamed that as a kid. I would have gave up everything for it. Only if i had more weight to me. Wish you the best Carter!!! SKOL VIKINGS
