Change your acronym to CROK. Wells Fargo didnt create the mortgage foreclosure crisis...irresponsible homeowners looking for a quick buck or caught up in their own need and greed to have something they could not afford caused the foreclosure crisis. Go pick up a torch for something you actually know something about...how many of these student protestors even know what a mortgage IS?

Can there possibly be a more insane subject to protest? This is just a bunch of idiot kids with nothing better to do; how about they troll the newspaper for a more worthy topic to cause a (useless) stir?

You don't like the bank that Macalaster uses? Change schools.

It is not just irresponsible people that created the mortgage crisis...it was also in huge part due to the banks giving loans to people on the assumption that house prices would rise. So if people were greedy so were the banks.

I dumped Wells Fargo and TCF last year in favor of a local credit union. Could not be happier. I think publically traded companies are so focused on short-term profits, they forget about the customer.

dtmonkeyboy - no, but if I don't like the way an organization conducts business, I stop doing business with them.

dtmonkeyboy I couldnt disagree with you more....the buck stops with the homeowner. The mortgage crisis was not an isolated case of a couple of retired folks getting duped by a big mean nasty corporate banking institution it was hundreds of thousands of homeowners ALL making bad choices and bad decisions (most of the time for the lure of easy and quick home equity cash). Were the banks faultless absolutely not but it is the individual homeowners who are responsible for losing their homes not the banks.

dtmonkeyboy - be sure that your favorite non-profits don't receive any grants or donations from Wells Fargo, too.
