You cannot let the inmates run the asylum. Time to start force-feeding anyone who refuses to drop the hunger strike. Don't forget, these remaining detainees are the worst of the worst enemies of this nation, yet they are provided with all the comforts of home. Korans, prayer rugs, recreation time, etc. Give me a break.
This should help save a bit of that sequestration money! In the obama economy, food prices have been going up!
Good. It will save the tax payers some money.
We were feeding them?
Gosh! That's too bad.
This is what happens after there is no hope for the future, after torture, sleep depravations, aggressive interrogations etc. As I understand it, not all of these people have even committed terrorist acts. Most of them are "suspected" terrorists. Some could be considered as fighting for their countries like our founding fathers fought for our country in 1776. No trials have been held to convict them. There is no judical review, no one protecting them from poor treatment no hope of parole. I expected Obama to hold military trials, and clean up Guantanamo and he has not - promising more "pre-emptive" and indefinate detentions. That is just wrong. I don't like what we are doing. We are no longer the good guys, who I wish the US would be. This will only breed more terrorism, and it shows our lack of self-confidence in what we believe as Americans.
